Forrest Dierolf

Forrest B. Dierolf, 79, East Allen Township, formerly of Oley and Hereford, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.

He was the loving companion for 12 years of Debra M. Mease, with whom he resided.

Born in Berks County on June 15, 1931, he was a son of the late John and Carrie (Bowman) Dierolf.

Forrest worked as a butcher for Ahart's Market, Bath, for five years before retiring in 2001. Previously, he worked as a butcher for Ritter's Meat Market at Zern's Farmers Market, Gilbertsville, for 31 years.

He was a member of Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, where he served on the fire police squad and volunteered as a cook for 12 years.

He was also a life member of Pikeville Sportsmen Club.

Forrest loved game shows, carnivals and fairs.

In addition to his loving companion, Debra, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth Dierolf, and his wife, Candi, and Dennis Dierolf, and his wife, Janet, all of Birdsboro; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Forrest was predeceased by his wife, Ruth "Tubby" (Moyer) Dierolf; and a daughter, Misty McDowell.
